Technical information and calculator
Articles and the wire-gauge calculator are general planning aids. They cannot inspect a vessel, establish its available fault current, verify a route or terminal, or replace the current ABYC standards, product instructions, and applicable law. Calculator output uses stated assumptions and simplified values. A qualified marine electrician must verify the actual installation, conductor ampacity, temperature and bundle corrections, protection coordination, and voltage-drop requirements before construction or operation.
ABYC requirements, equipment details, and standards editions can change. References to a standard identify a design topic; they are not a certification that any boat or installation complies.
Service scope and estimates
Nothing on this site creates a service contract, reserves shop time, or guarantees that a particular repair is suitable. Work begins only after the boat and requested scope are reviewed and the parties agree on the job details, timing, and price. Estimates depend on visible conditions and may need revision if inspection reveals concealed damage or changes in scope.
